Exetel have been providing a range of internet and telephone services to residential customers since February 2004. There are now over 60,000 residential customers using a wide range of different Exetel services in every State and Territory. Exetel does no advertising or marketing and engages in no other promotional activities preferring to use the money that those activities would cost to improve all aspects of its network and customer support services

BROADBAND - ADSL1

Exetel provides ADSL1 services in every State and Territory of Australia (except Tasmania until 1/2/09) wherever there is an ADSL enabled Telstra exchange. Recently Telstra stated that there are over 2,400 exchanges equipped with ADSL1 capabilities making this service available to over 90% of Australian homes. Plans range from $40.00 a month and from speeds of 512kbps to 8,192kbps.

BROADBAND - ADSL2

Exetel provides ADSL2 services from a limited number of exchanges in mainland States and the ACT. Speeds of ADSL2 services are dependent on the distance from the exchange, the quality of the actual copper wire and many aspects of the customer's own wiring and equipment.

BROADBAND - HSPA

Exetel provides HSPA services using the Optus mobile network throughout every State and Territory in Australia. Speeds of HSPA services are dependent on the type of coverage provided by the Optus mobile network in a specific area. The maximum current theoretical speed is 3.6 mbps down and 384 kbps up.
